Game of the Amazons

Two white queens and two red, each racing to wall the other in. The fight ranges across the whole board.

• On your turn, move one queen like a chess queen — any number of empty squares in a straight line, in any of the eight directions.
• Then that same queen fires an arrow from her new square, travelling the same way. The arrow drops a black disc on an empty square.
• Arrows stay forever. Nothing may move through or onto a queen or an arrow.
• Every shot shrinks the open board. The last player able to move a queen wins.
• White moves first.
